The mechanism of action of CBD is multifold

Two cannabinoid receptors are known to exist in the human body: CB1 and CB2 receptors. The CB1 receptors are located mainly in the brain and modulate neurotransmitter release in a manner that (1) prevents excessive neuronal activity, thus calming and decreasing anxiety; (2) reduces pain; (3) decreases inflammation; (4) regulates movement and posture control; and (5) controls sensory perception, memory, and cognitive function.

Let our products help you with 1-5. Our CBD oil is lab-tested as soon as it is extracted to ensure an accurate amount of CBD.

As we approach this Holy week in April, 2020, none of us imagined what we would be currently facing in our communities. I trust and pray that all of you are well, healthy and staying at home during this shelter in place mandate.

It is the perfect time to tell you, once again, about a wonderful testimony of the immunologic supportive properties of CBD. As many of you know, I still work as a retail pharmacist. I have been called in for many shifts lately and have encountered COVID-19 positive patients.

My health and overall emotional level has been so elevated through this adversity.  With the extra stress of working during this time, I feel very supported and grateful for feeling well.

My regimen in taking our Fusion 3000mg product is even more rigid. I am taking three droppers full, held under the tongue for 60 seconds, twice a day. I make sure that I have my dose before leaving for work and, of course, at night before bed.  I find that I am resting well and feeling very motivated through the trying times. Now, in addition to taking Fusion, I will tell you that I am practicing all measures of keeping myself and my husband safe.  Upon returning home, I immediately wash all of my clothes that were worn inside the pharmacy and jump directly in the shower!  I certainly am taking every precaution to being a good example of good health practices.

This Easter we all join together in the sadness of not being able to gather with our family and loved ones. Please let us all be committed to social distancing and flattening the curve of this dreadful virus. Also, let us remember the story of Easter and Jesus’ sacrifice. May God shower you with blessings, love, and peace this Easter.  I wish you and your family continued Wellness until next time.

Hope everyone has  had a wonderful past month and experienced wellness and good health.

I have a terrific testimony to share with you. A story and experience a lady shared with me while we were sitting in the airport awaiting our next flight.  The motive of the topic was exclaiming that the flu was still raging in full force. And what worse than to be sitting in an airplane full of people. She had mentioned she was just coming back from a cross-country flight from the East Coast. While there, she was taking care of her mother who was in a nursing home. She explained she spent quite a bit of time in the nursing home.

The problem was the patients were All quarantined from an upper respiratory illness that was running rampant through the nursing home. Also, while there, she was battling the frigid temperatures and snowy conditions. She then told me that she was feeling as though she was coming down with The beginnings of an upper respiratory bronchial type of illness. She then shared with me that she had been taking CBD oil and all throughout this winter season it has kept her well. She went on to say that she was doubling her dose of CBD oil while she was feeling sick and it seemed to thwart the development of the bronchitis.

I, of course, interjected my thoughts on the topic and told her she was absolutely correct! The immunological benefits of CBD oil to support the immune system through supporting the cells that fight infection are extraordinary. I told her that daily administration of CBD oil truly would keep away most illnesses. As for her story to me, the lady that I briefly encountered in the airport, just goes to prove that this incredible oil is maintaining wellness across the nation. It was wonderful to talk to her that day about this particular topic!

Good afternoon my fellow CBD followers. It is now the beginning of March and it is no surprise that the circulation of continuing sickness and colds are still upon us even this time of year! Since I have been taking CBD oil on a regular basis, I would like to exclaim that I have not had any significant episodes of colds or sickness in the last two years!

However, recently my husband came down with a cold while we were traveling this past New Year’s. Despite giving each of us extra doses of True Fusion 3000 mg, the rhinovirus won this time!  But, I have to declare we feel that the cold did not take hold of us to the degree that it would have had we not been treating ourselves with CBD oil.  The immunological support of CBD oil is remarkable!  CBD oil has an affinity for CB2 receptors that cause a signaling to the immunological components of our bodies. Supporting these components is, essentially, what keeps us well!  Even though I have very mild symptoms such as a couple of sneezes and a little tingling in my nose, I feel the symptoms are entirely suppressed by the continued dosage I’m giving myself of CBD oil. To equate my dosage for you, I am taking 300 to 400 mg at least twice a day if not three times a day.  Typically, I would take 300 mg twice a day. But I try to increase it if there is a presence of sickness.  I am going to do further research on reports in clinical format on this exact topic. I look forward to sharing the research with you!

Hope you all have wonderful, cold- free, continuations of your new year!

Hello again and happy new year 2020. I trust your February is going well and continued wellness is flowing to you effortlessly!

I know how many of you understand that using CBD oil or lotion on your skin has many healing properties. It has been shown to improve acne, eczema, rashes, etc. My research also shows that it has many healing structural changes to the skin complex itself. Mainly through the mechanism of inflammation topically.

I want to share with you that I have recently used it on a bad burn from cooking during the holidays and it made a dramatic difference!

What happened is this,  I was reaching into a baking roaster oven to remove a beef roast. In doing so, the soft part of my forearm touched the edge of the 400° roaster oven. It left a 1 X 1.5 inch burn mark immediately! And hurt tremendously! I went in to the drawer to get my bottle of True Fusion 3000mg oil.  I put it directly on the burned area and it almost immediately removed the pain. Then, in the days to come, I placed the oil on the burn and left it open without a bandage. Eventually, it began to heal and did require bandaging. But my biggest point is that the CBD oil dramatically improved the healing of the burn and took away the pain!  Again, another testimony to the healing properties of this amazing oil!

I will also let you all in on a big secret! I am personally applying it under my eyes to determine whether it has an affect on wrinkles. This will be a personal ongoing study in which I am conducting on myself – one subject. I will be looking forward to relating the results to you in the weeks and months to come! Until next time, be well and enjoy every day to the fullest!

CBD Oil, Skin Care, Inflammation and Pain relief

Most cannabinoid skin-care products are designed to help achy spots or surface issues such as eczema. But those applications are just the tip of the iceberg as CBD Cannabis oil seems to give you an extra layer of protection, helping your skin fight against everyday wear-and-tear and some nasty diseases.

Did you know that cannabis oil contains all 21 known amino acids? Plus it’s rich in essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 and Omega-6 which are vital for our internal body and skin. These acids help combat daily problems that our skin is the first to take on, whether it be from inclement weather, sun exposure, dry climates, UV or other daily factors. Problems that can lead to a variety of medical issues such as eczema, psoriasis and even skin cancer.

But wait, that’s not all. The major component in the oil known as CBD, is an antioxidant that is even more powerful than Vitamin C,E,A or omega 3 fatty acids.

A recent study in the British Journal of Pharmacology found that CBD and cannabigerol (CBG), can control cell proliferation and differentiation, meaning they can be used as treatments for skin diseases like cancer or allergies.

CBD is also known to be anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic, cell-regenerative, and anti–cell proliferative for bad cells. This means that CBD is a potential therapy for a range of medical conditions.

CBD topical application is considered the latest breakthrough in managing joint pain and inflammation. Together with its highly effective pain relieving properties, it possesses systemic absorption as well. CBD is absorbed through the skin where it binds to the body’s own CB2 receptors. Once it connects with these receptors, CBD has a pain relieving an anti- inflammatory effect on the body at the site of application.

While CBD is the compound popping up in beauty products, it’s not the only one within the cannabis plant to be aware of.

Real talk: There are a lot of chemicals within cannabis, and our body has an entire system that regulates them. All of this comes into play when you slather the plant’s extracts on your skin.

If you just have one cannabinoid, such as CBD, you’re missing out on the over 100 additional cannabinoids that work together to produce the entourage effect.  We really believe in the whole plant, full-spectrum extract or oil, with added terpenes, as the active ingredient in skin-care products.  In other words, you want the whole system working together.

Your body’s endocannabinoid system has receptors, the full spectrum of cannabinoids work in concert more efficiently and effectively than one on its own—hence it’s good to look for the whole plant’s extract infused with the helpful terpenes.

Topical CBD was also found effective in alleviating the symptoms of the following conditions: seizures, spasticity, weakness, pain, anxiety, insomnia, trigeminal neuralgia, autism, ADD, peripheral neuropathy and fibromyalgia.

The best proven site for application is at the back of the neck. This area is rich with Hundreds of thousands of free nerve endings below the skin surface. No other location has such a magnitude of afferent neural input accessible through skin nerve endings. This source of application of CBD is beneficial in treating symptoms of a number of neuropathic and psychiatric conditions. Topical CBD therapy is overall well tolerated. For example, studies performed by scientific researchers, through the route of topical back of the neck CBD application, found complete seizure freedom achieved in a number of patients with previous intractable epilepsy on multiple drug regimen.

Dosing frequency of topical application range from once daily to three times daily depending on severity of condition. The duration of treatment with topical CBD range from several days to as needed.

CBD Uses

CBD uses include:  visual focus, mental clarity, reaction time improved, hold breath longer, ulcerative colitis, calms down inflammation and cramping, anti-tumor necrosis factor.

CBD works at the mitochondria level in the cell via oxidative phosphorylation which increases energy.

In regards to cancer, CBD protects normal cells while signaling cell death in abnormal cells. It may prevent metastasis and also paralyzes cells at the mitochondria level.   A noted effective dose for cancer patients is 90 mg.

In regard to sleep, it reduces the amount of REM anxiety sleep and increases deep sleep which is noted as stage 4 sleep. It is important to dose CBD 1 to 2 hours before sleep as it can actually activate the brain.

In regard to auto immune system attack:

CBD is effective and rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, lupus, thyroid disorder, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, skin psoriasis and eczema and chronic infection.

In regard to brain inflammation:

CBD is effective to reduce brain fog, migraine, epilepsy, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, ADD, autism and insomnia. Research indicates an anandamide levels are higher in the brain of ADHD subjects.  Anandamide binds to the CB1 receptor through the G protein coupling system. CBD has an indirect effect on the CB1 receptor by stopping the enzymatic breakdown of Anandamide.  CBD helps to mediate the release of cytokines from the immune cells in a manner that helps to reduce inflammation and pain. Cannabinoid  receptors (CB1 and CB2) are found in high concentrations in areas of the brain that are malfunctioning in ADHD, such as the amygdala and hippocampus.

In regard to Patients with endometriosis: it is determined these patients often suffer from diffuse and poorly localized severe pain. The current pain management strategies include medical and hormonal therapy, as well as surgery. Medical management of pain is often insufficient and is associated with high rate of recurrence. Better pain management is therefore of urgent need.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) has recently emerged as a relevant pharmacological target for the management of endometriosis-related pain. Mostly, endometriosis-associated pain can be targeted by modulation of the ECS by modulation and signaling of anti-inflammatory properties.

CBD: Topical vs oral administration

ORAL DOSAGE VIA BUCCAL MUCOSA

“A common problem associated with ORAL transmucosal administration via the buccal route (in cheek or under tongue), is swallowing the dose due to the continuous secretion of saliva in the mouth. This contributes to decreased absorption of CBD in the body if not properly administered.  For optimal CBD delivery the buccal and sublingual gummies and Oils must remain in contact with oral mucosa for 60 – 90 seconds to allow for the absorption of the CBD. More specifically, the dosage form must not be washed away by saliva into the gastrointestinal tract. Most importantly the formulation of oils or gummies must be designed so that the cannabinoid is optimized in its transmucosal permeation.

TOPICAL

CBD topical application is considered the latest breakthrough in managing joint pain and inflammation. Together with its highly effective pain relieving properties, it possesses systemic absorption as well. CBD is absorbed through the skin where it binds to the body’s own CB2 receptors. Dosing frequency of topical application range from once daily to three times daily depending on severity of condition. The duration of treatment with topical CBD range from several days to as needed. For chronic conditions such as neuropathy continued daily application therapy may be more necessary.

Overview how CBD oil can help with pain, anxiety and sleep issues

Sleeping CBD Oil

The endocannabinoid signalling system was discovered because receptors in this system [ CB1 and CB2 ] are the targets of compounds In CBD oil.  It has been determined that cannabidiol has high affinity for these receptors.  Endocannabinoids are implicated in numerous physiological and pathological processes such as neuromodulation and inflammation. The current development of endocannabinoid signalling and how this complex system could be pharmacologically manipulated is at the forefront.

Let’s talk about the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and how the  CB1 and CB2 receptors play a role in signaling.   This system consists of the endogenous lipid ligands  (anandamide; AEA) and (2-AG) which activate the CB1 and CB2 receptors. The (ECS) regulates functions throughout human body; including neurological , cardiovascular, autonomic, metabolic, and inflammatory states.   The complex cellular interactions modulated by the ECS suggest  prevention of many disease states by changing central nervous and immune cell endocannabinoid signaling.

The following is an in-depth description of how CBD plays a role in the anti-inflammatory process in the body.  Both CB2 receptor agonists and antagonists have been reported to induce anti-inflammatory immune cell responses. And peripheral immune CB2 receptor  activation is anti-inflammatory. PEA has been investigated for its involvement in the control of both excitatory and inhibitory transmission in the murine striatum, a brain region strongly modulated by the ECS.   By  electrophysiologically recording the transmission within neuronal synapses,  it shows that PEA modulates inhibitory synaptic transmission through activation of GPR55 receptor.  GPR55 receptor, an orphan G-protein-coupled receptor, which is involved in processes of inflammation, might be a third cannabinoid receptor.  Furthermore, PEA, acting on GPR55, enhances GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid)  transmission in the striatum, and triggers a parallel synthesis of 2-AG (2-arachidonyl glycerol) at the postsynaptic site.  This in turn acts  to inhibit GABA release through stimulation of CB1 receptors at pre-synaptic sites. Because CB2 activation dampens inflammatory responses, it has the potential to serve as a molecular target for diminishing  inflammation linked to pathogenic disorders such as MS, ischemic/perfusion injury following an induced stroke, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and osteoporosis pain.

Electrophysiological and neurochemical studies have provided  evidence that endocannabinoids suppress nociceptive (pain) transmission, especially peripherally and at the level of the striatum of the spinal cord.
