Robin’s Write up

Hello fellow wellness friends and welcome to my first blog about this exciting topic, CBD oil and it’s benefits!

Let me first introduce myself.  I’m Robin McDonald, RPH, and have been asked to be a medical research advocate for True Oils, Inc.  My passion has been inspired a number of ways. But, personally, to have experience of the benefits of True Natural Oils is an absolute miracle.

Allow me to take you back almost two and half years ago. A lady (I considered her a good friend) who came to my pharmacy to fill her prescriptions began telling me about reducing her dosage of her seizure medication.  As any medical professional would do, I discouraged her from doing so. What if she had a recurrence of her seizure? What if she placed herself into danger?  But then she began describing how she started to take these drops of this new oil.  It’s was called CBD oil.   Pulling me over to the side of the pharmacy, she was whispering to me just how she was taking this new mysterious supplement.  I was instantly intrigued! She divulged to me that she had not had a seizure in over 6 months.  And this was with the reduction of her seizure medication.  How could this be?

My friend asked me to contact her personally when I was free to talk about it. So I did and she told me more about how she started to take this oil.  Her neighbor was distributing a CBD oil   product and knew

that she suffered from seizures.  Her neighbor gave her  some  CBD oil to try and within a couple weeks my friend felt the difference.   Not only was she no longer experiencing seizures, but she felt an overall sense of wellness.  No more were her joints aching or stiff. And no more was her thinking or thoughts cloudy.  She became more cognitively aware and clear.  All because she was placing 10 drops of the highest potency product in her morning coffee.  Or sometimes, just under her tongue.

Now please let me share with you that my same friend has over 5 angioma, blood-filled, tumors on her brain.  This is the culprit for her seizures. Every time she experiences a change of cranial blood pressure, it results in a seizure. With the use of this miraculous CBD oil she is now seizure free.  And continues to be seizure free to this date.

You see, my wellness friends, it is experiences and stories such as these that I am delighted to share with you!  Please look forward for my next blog.  And as always, please reach out with any questions that I may answer for you.  I look forward to helping you onto a better pathway of Health!

True Natural Oils is Striving to Move Forward in Development

True Natural Oils is Striving to Move Forward in Development

The well-known saying for those hawking baseball scorecards might be just as appropriate in the fledgling CBD category. With more and more players entering the marketplace and many predicting that the category is finally ready to explode in sales, retailers may need a scorecard to know who the players are in the marketplace.

According to Boulder, Colo.-based BDS Analytics and Market Research, the collective market for CBD sales, which includes cosmetics, health products, food and beverage, pet products, skin care, and pharmaceuticals, is expected to exceed $20 billion in the United States by 2024.

We at True Natural Oils still are waiting for the Food and Drug Administration & develop regulations related to CBD in food and dietary supplements. The FDA maintains that there is a lack of scientific information supporting the use of CBD in food, and also noted that the agency is continuing to explore pathways for various types of CBD products to be marketed.

Daily Regimens

Increasingly, patients are asking about or have already begun to add CBD to their daily regimens. What evidence is there for the efficacy of CBD?

Small trials in humans have examined the use of high-dose CBD (typically 300 to 1,000 mg per day, taken orally) in social anxiety in a simulated public speaking model (Bergamaschi et al., 2011; Zuardi et al., 2017).

Eating disorders are another area of interest, as the endocannabinoid system is a key regulator of appetite, but have not been examined in clinical trials. Finally, the antidepressant potential of CBD (possibly due to 5HT1A agonism, similar to some antidepressant medications) has been explored in more clinical studies with impressive results in relieving anxiety.

Let’s Figure Out A Way to Play Life Better

Let’s Figure Out A Way to Play Life Better

Psychiatric clinicians are often asked to treat patients with evidence-based methods, but the evidence to guide practice does not always reflect the reality that they confront every day.

Currently, many patients are using cannabinoids, particularly cannabidiol (CBD), to treat their own symptoms, ranging from insomnia to anxiety to depression. What doses of CBD should they be using? What route? How will CBD interact with other medications?

The mammalian endocannabinoid system includes the neurotransmitters anandamide (AEA) and 2-Arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG), their synthesizing and degrading enzymes, and their activity as partial and full agonists, respectively, at the Cannabinoid 1 and 2 (CB1, CB2) receptors. How this neurotransmitter system works as a retrograde signaling mechanism to fine tune other neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, and GABA. In clinical settings, finding the action of CBD on the endocannabinoid system will be an attempt to make rational choices about the role of exogenous cannabinoids in psychiatric practice.

Endocannabinoid System

CBD works by interacting with one of the body’s own regulatory system called the Endocannabinoid System.

The ECS plays an essential role in keeping the body within a narrow range of operating conditions and controls important functions like mood, memory, stress, sleep, behaviour, appetite, pain, immune function and reproductive health. CBD can also bind to these receptors and active the ECS, thereby regulating the same functions.

If this seems a bit too geeky all you need to remember is that CBD works a bit like social media. It acts everywhere and controls everything.

How does CBD oil ease anxiety?

As described above CBD works with the endocannabinoid system to produce some of the effects that people report, but CBD is also binding to other receptors in the brain like the serotonin (5HT)1a receptor. Serotonin deficiency is associated with depression and other psychiatric disorders and it is likely that the effects CBD has on mood and anxiety are related to this interaction.

The ways CBD work in the brain are complicated and still need to be further investigated, but there is evidence to suggest that CBD might even work against depression and addictive disorders.

MENTAL FOCUS

MENTAL FOCUS

Older adults experience slower metabolism, increased likelihood of polypharmacy, cognitive decline and chronic physical/mental health problems. There is a need to enhance knowledge of the effects of cannabidiol use in older adults.

CBD has no intoxicating effects or abuse liability, and because of its widespread activity in the ECS, it has been proposed to be beneficial therapeutically for a variety of health conditions in people of all ages.

Generally, older adults suffer from more chronic medical and mental health conditions (eg, chronic pain, insomnia, and mood and cognitive disorders) than younger adults.  Experts say CBD use will continue to gain momentum in the health and wellness world, with some scientific studies confirming it may ease symptoms of ailments like chronic pain and anxiety.

Cannabinoids Are Naturally Found In The Body

Cannabinoids are naturally found in the body, so hemp extracts like the one created by True Natural Oils are a great way to supplement the body’s natural systems. Most prescription drugs cause more problems than they fix. Talk to your doctor about natural remedies like full-spectrum CBD oil for anxiety.

True Natural Oils prioritizes the quality of their products. They make sure that their CBD products only contain natural terpenes and ingredients to offer users with feelings of recovery, calmness, power, and focus. Absolutely no fillers are used.

Preliminary Evidence Of CBD

Our results provide preliminary evidence that CBD may affect the altered neuroendocrine as well as the psychological responses to acute stress in daily life in CHR (clinical high risk)  patients.

Therefore, in contrast to atypical antipsychotics, which have been shown to reduce elevated diurnal cortisol levels, but not correct the blunted cortisol response observed in psychosis, CBD may potentially attenuate abnormalities in some of the main components of the acute stress response in the CHR state, future research using larger samples would be required to confirm this suggestion.

These results are in line with previous research, which suggests that CBD may have anxiolytic and antipsychotic effects.

Stress Can Trigger Anxiety in PTSD

Treatment with CBD may also decrease the intensity and impact of  symptoms commonly associated with PTSD, including chronic anxiety in stressful environments.  Exposure to stress can trigger anxiety in PTSD patients and remind them of traumatic experiences. By reducing induced anxiety,CBD may help to regulate the negative effects associated with PTSD.

Antidepressant and neuroprotective properties:

Antidepressants, used for the treatment of depression and some anxiety disorders, also possess numerous neuroprotective properties. Similarly,CBD  decreases the production of inflammatory cytokines, the activation of microglial cells, and brain leucocytes. All of which are neuroprotective.

Human imaging studies have demonstrated CBD affects brain areas involved in the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders. A study has showed that a single dose of CBD, administered orally in healthy volunteers, alters the resting activity in limbic and paralimbic brain areas while decreasing subjective anxiety associated with the scanning procedure. In healthy humans,CBD reversed the anxiogenic effects of Δ9-THC and reduced anxiety in a simulated public-speaking task.

CBD Products to Relieve Stress

CBD Products to Relieve Stress

Research indicates CBD oil can help promote a sense of calmness and relaxation. CBD works in the body by affecting serotonin in the brain. The all-over desired effect is increased calmness in stressful situations.

In addition, studies have been performed using CBD on individuals who suffer from insomnia due to anxiety. The results were astonishing! 80% of the individuals anxiety improved, and 70% of the individuals experienced positive results within the first month.
