FAQ: What Should I Look for in CBD Products?

When it comes to CBD products, quality is EVERYTHING. In this rapidly growing industry there are many companies basically selling lessor quality oil slapped with a label claiming to be “high-quality CBD.”⁣

⁣In an industry saturated with imposters, it’s important to find companies you can trust and who actually sell a product that works. True Natural Oils is one of these companies.

⁣Extraction method of Cannabinoids from the Cannabis plant is a critical step in the process that can make or break the availability of Cannabinoids in your product. ⁣⁣Using the most advanced extraction equipment and technology, each batch of True Natural CBD oil is CO2 extracted at low temperatures. These low temperatures ensure that the extraction process is safe and gentle, preserving all the beneficial cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that are naturally present in high-quality CBD oil.⁣

⁣Full-spectrum extraction methods mean that you, the consumer, are presented with a CBD oil that stands up to its claims. Full-spectrum CBD oils are known to contain other cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils, and amino acids that work in harmony to create beneficial effects. This is known as the entourage effect.

Each batch is carefully monitored and tested throughout the entire extraction process, then sent to a third-party lab for further testing. True Natural Oils takes pride not only in the quality of our product, but in being completely transparent and open to anyone who wants to look at our current third-party test results posted on our website.⁣

FAQ: Does it Matter How I Take my CBD?

Yes.  For optimal drug delivery, the buccal (cheek) and sublingual (under the tongue) dosage forms must remain in contact with oral mucosa for a time of 60 to 90 seconds.⁣

A common problem associated with trans mucosal administration via the buccal(cheek) route, is swallowing the dose due to the continuous secretion of saliva in the oral cavity. ⁣More specifically, the dosage form must not be washed away by saliva into the gastrointestinal tract.⁣

The following is how we take our tinctures:⁣.

⁣1.) 3000mg/30ml TRUE FUSION 100mg/ml. – dose 0.5 ml (1/2 dropperful) twice daily = 100mg/day hold under tongue for 1minute to optimize absorption⁣.⁣

2.) 1500mg/30ml product TRUE BLISS 50mg/ml. – dose 0.5ml – 1.0 ml twice to three times daily. 25mg to 50mg , 2-3 times a day. 0.5ml=(1/2 dropperful) hold under tongue for 1minute to optimize absorption⁣.⁣

3.) 750mg /30ml product TRUE WELLNESS 25mg/ml. – dose 1 ml up to 2 ml in the evening for restful sleep. 0.5 ml = (1/2 dropperful) hold under tongue for 1minute to optimize absorption.⁣

FAQ: Is CBD Effective Topically?

CBD topical application is considered the latest breakthrough in managing joint pain and inflammation. Together with its highly effective pain relieving properties, it possesses systemic absorption as well. ⁣

⁣CBD is absorbed through the skin where it binds to the body’s own CB2 receptors. Once it connects with these receptors, CBD has a pain relieving and anti- inflammatory effect on the body at the site of application.⁣

While CBD is popping up in many topical products, it’s not the only phyto-chemical within the cannabis plant to pay attention to. There are a lot of beneficial cannabinoids within cannabis, and our body has an entire system that regulates them. All of this comes into play when you slather the plant’s broad or full spectrum extracts on your skin.⁣ For example, THC has been shown to be 20 times more anti-inflammatory than aspirin and 2 times more anti-inflammatory than hydrocortisone.

The spectrum of cannabinoids work in concert more efficiently and effectively on these receptors than one on its own—hence it’s good to look for the whole plant’s extract infused with the plant’s helpful terpenes such as our True Natural Oils lotion or Golden Bee Hemp Pain Salve available here.

Topical CBD was also found effective in alleviating the symptoms of the following conditions: oxidative stress on dermal cells, skin conditions characterized by inflammation and keratin disorders, such as eczema or atopic dermatitis, wound healing, pain & muscle relief, itch (pruritis), Acne/Seborrhea, modulation of hair growth, skin & hair pigmentation, oral care, and other skin disorders such as antibiotic-resistant skin infections, cutaneous malignancies such as Melanoma, and Psoriatic Plaques.

In terms of Arthriits, one animal study from the European Journal of Pain reports CBD “significantly reduced” joint swelling/inflammation and pain from to arthritis when applied to skin. Additionally, CBD it is even being recommended by the Arthritis Foundation.

FAQ: How “Safe” is CBD?

“Several studies suggest that CBD is non-toxic in non-transformed cells and does not induce changes on food intake, does not induce catalepsy, does not affect physiological parameters (heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature), does not affect gastrointestinal transit and does not alter psychomotor or psychological functions. Also, chronic use and high doses up to 1,500 mg/day of CBD are reportedly well tolerated in humans.”⁣

CBD FAQ: Can You Build a Tolerance to CBD?

Answer: No.

In 2000, there was a study published by The Kennedy Center of Rheumatology titled, “The Nonpsychoactive Cannabis Constituent Cannabidiol is an Cral Anti-arthritic Therapeutic in Murine Collagen-induced Arthritis”. The study ends by summarizing, “all of this suggests that CBD may be valuable in the treatment of other chronic inflammatory diseases as well.”

What’s even better, this study also reports that “prolonged treatment with CBD does not induce tolerance, a phenomenon often observed by cannabinoids”. This means that in contrast to many Pharmaceuticals, you will not develop a tolerance, or a reduction in efficacy as you use Cannabinoids in the treatment of your ailments.

FAQ: What is the Relationship Between Inflammation & CBD

Cannabis affects the body because its bioactive compounds bind to and activate tiny receptors encoded by our genes.

The brain and nervous system contain a different set of receptors (CB1) than the receptors used primarily in our immune system/inflammation (CB2).

Because CB2 activation dampens inflammatory responses, it has the potential to serve as a molecular target for diminishing inflammation linked to pathogenic disorders such as MS, ischemic/perfusion injury following an induced stroke, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and osteoporosis pain. (Centonze et. al 2007) .

Neuroinflammation is key to both autoimmune disorders (multiple sclerosis, lupus, psoriasis, etc) and Neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, etc) (Wolf Tauber, and Ullrich 2008; Pryce, Jackson and Baker 2008).

FAQ: Does CBD Counteract THC?

A study has showed that a single dose of CBD, administered orally in healthy volunteers, alters the resting activity in limbic and paralimbic brain areas while decreasing subjective anxiety associated with the scanning procedure.

In healthy humans, CBD reversed the anxiogenic (anxiety-inducing) effects of Δ9-THC and reduced anxiety in a simulated public-speaking task.

Evidence Grows for CBD as Potential COVID-19 Treatment

The current data support the notion that the anti-inflammatory function of CBD may reduce cytokine storm and mitigate the effects of exaggerated inflammation the authors explain. Further adding that, considering all potential regulatory effects of CBD as well as the vast distribution of endocannabinoid system in the body, it is plausible that CBD may be used as a therapeutic candidate in the treatment of various inflammatory conditions including COVID-19 and other virus-induced ARDS.

With this being an early study, more research needs to be performed, particularly on human subjects with COVID-19 related ARDS to validate and expand this therapeutic strategy. This evidence on the additional health benefits of CBD provides hope in the uncharted waters of not only COVID-19 but other illnesses as well, hopefully ending the stigma of this enlightening cannabis plant.

Researchers say CBD could provide vital treatment for coronavirus

As researchers and doctors rush to understand the novel coronavirus, sometimes new evidence contradicts old claims. Cannabis represents a main topic where scientists have spun 180 degrees in discussing how the plant interacts with COVID-19. Public health officials announced back in March that marijuana smokers and vapers were more at risk to contract and spread the coronavirus.

Lung health experts still don’t recommend inhaling any combustible material like tobacco or marijuana, due to the inflammation caused in your airways. However, cannabis has emerged as an unlikely candidate in preventing and treating COVID-19 symptoms.
